4 th ANNUAL WINTERFEST – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2024

The 2024 Winterfest rolls into town on December 14 th , starting at 8 a.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a full day of fun in downtown Mackay. Lost River Valley Economic Development is proud to have Amber and Galen Gerrish, owners of American Grazingland Services, as this year’s title sponsors. Winterfest attracts residents from Custer, Butte, Lemhi, and Blaine Counties.

To start your day, bring the kiddies to the American Legion Hall for a complimentary Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m.
And who doesn’t like cookies? Cookie decorating and kids' crafts will take place from 10 to 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. Later, be sure to wear your scavenger hunting shoes for a fun time at the Community Church Scavenger Hunt from 1 to 3
p.m., during which complimentary gift bags will be given out.

We know you’ll want to take some time to sit for a spell and warm up, so why not watch the Christmas Story movie at 3 p.m. with your friends and family at the American Legion Hall? “You’ll probably hear your kids saying, “I triple dog dare ya!” for the rest of winter. Come for some laughs, a warm seat, a bag of popcorn, and enjoy the movie.

The Lost River Medical Center will once more sponsor Mackay Money, which can be used to purchase gifts and other items at local businesses.
Bundle up, sing some Christmas Carols, and enjoy yourself around burn barrels, which will line Mackay’s Main Street to keep everyone toasty.
It gets dark at 5 p.m., so it’s a great time to join your friends for the Lighting of the Tree at City Hall, followed by a Christmas Parade on Main Street, with prizes awarded to the best original floats and entries created by businesses and local citizens. After the parade, Santa will make a surprise visit at the Mackay Masonic Lodge.
